Hardy Xiang is a Professor of the School of Arts at Peking University, where he gained his Ph.D. in Management and MA in Arts Administration. His academic interest focuses on cultural and creative industries (CCIs), management of the arts and human resources development. Since 2010, Xiang has been the Honorary Visiting Professor at London Metropolitan University, and also Guest Professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong from 2019.

 

Awarded one of the top 10 Excellent Scholars of CCIs in China, Xiang has worked as a senior consultant to the government, companies and institutions as well as the UN Conference on Trade and Development. He is a joint founder of the International Association of Culture and Creative Industries.

Having worked in the sector for over 30 years, Park has extensive experience of managing arts groups and venues in Korea such as Seoul Chungmu Art Hall, Gyeonggi Arts Center, Incheon Culture & Arts Center, KBS Symphony Orchestra and Busan Cultural Center. With his exceptional leadership, he has recently been appointed as the Representative of Daegu Opera House. As a veteran of performing arts, Park also holds the position of Honorary President at the Performing Arts Management Association of Korea.

Best known as director of the George Town Festival (GTF), Joe Sidek has established himself as one of Malaysia’s strong advocates for the arts. GTF is an annual month-long festival that turns the town into a brilliant canvas for local and international performances, visual arts, culture, and community-infused activities.

Chris Millado earned a Masters degree in Performance Studies from New York University and has taught courses in Theater Arts, Performance Studies and Philippine Studies. He spearheaded the organization of Filipino-American theater companies in the U.S., where he held a Fellowship with the DeVos Institute for Arts Management at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

 

Some of the Festivals he has curated include: the annual Pasinaya CCP Open House Festival, Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival, International Theater Festival, National Theater Festival, the International Choral Festival, among others. An accomplished stage director and playwright, his works have been produced in Manila, San Francisco, Chicago, Hawaii, and New York. He currently oversees the programming of the Cultural Center of the Philippines and its nine Resident Companies.

With a thorough background in both music and theater, Joyce Chiou has an impressive track record in arts production, curation, and international affairs. Being the Executive Director (2006-2018) of Taiwan Philharmonic, the National Symphony Orchestra, she had successfully established its acclaimed international reputation by taking the orchestra on tour in Europe and the USA for a dozen times. In June 2018, Chiou commenced her tenure at National Taichung Theater (NTT) as General and Artistic Director. Under her leadership, NTT has become a culture hub of both local communities and international outreaches, a compelling artistic force in Asian performing arts circle.

As an artist agent, Jun-ichi Nihei has been involved in bringing many of the world’s most acclaimed orchestras, opera and ballet companies, soloists and conductors to Japan and other countries in Asia, as well as managing the career of many musicians. Nihei also works as Executive Producer of the Japan Paderewski Association, Director of the Japan Association of Classical Music Presenters, and Director of the Japan Music Foundation JESC.  He has advised numerous corporations regarding contributions to society through culture and the arts.

Johannes Mueller has been an active recording producer for over 25 years. Working with Singapore Symphony Orchestra (SSO) since 2004 has led to the founding of his Singapore-based company, msm-productions, in 2011 to better serve the Asian markets with his specialist expertise of music media production. Further recording activities in Asia have brought him to Doha, Kuala Lumpur, Beijing and Taipei. Since 2015, Mueller has been assigned to be the Recording Producer of the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra for their Music Director, Valery Gergiev. In 2020, SSO renewed its contract with msm-productions to operate Rose Studio at Victoria Concert Hall.

Under the leadership of Lynn Yau, the arts-in-education work of AFTEC has been recognised locally and overseas: a Top 10 High Impact NGO from PwC, a Best Practice model from the Korean Arts and Cultural Education Services, and the Arts Education award presented twice by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council. It has also pioneered Relaxed Theatre for young people with Autism spectrum disorders and learning challenges.

 

Yau is a Hong Kong Scholar to the Clore Leadership Programme 2010-11 and was commended by the Home Affairs Bureau in 2012 for her outstanding contribution in arts education to Hong Kong. She is keen on research and has presented her paper From Inception to Insight — A Learning Theatre™ at Work at various conferences.

Martin Lopez started his own arts management company, SinagTala, to promote Filipinos in classical, choral and ethnic music. As he built his name in the Manila concert circuit, he joined the Board of Trustees of the Cultural Center of the Philippines, becoming the youngest ever to hold the post. He now runs the FEU Center for the Arts, formerly the President's Committee on Culture, at Far Eastern University, actively engaging in nurturing the youth.

Lopez sits on the board of the Association for Cultural Offices in Philippine Educational Institutions, the Friends for Cultural Concerns of the Philippines, the Museum Foundation of the Philippines, Inc. and the Vallehermoso Helping Hands Foundation.

Janny He had lived in New Zealand for 12 years and worked at Auckland Museum for 8 years. She moved back to China in 2013, and since then has been responsible for assisting and gathering FACP Governors and members from the Guangdong area to participate at the annual conferences. Since 2014, He has been in charge of arranging over 800 live performances, concerts, music festivals and conventions in different venues, arenas, concert halls, and theaters. At present, He focuses on commercial performance business and multi-channel network, which involve government approval paper submission and presentation of domestic and international artists.
