The Regulation on the Protection of the Mukam Art of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region

On July 28th 2010, The Regulation on the Protection of the Mukam Art of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region was unanimously adopted at the 19th Session of the Standing Committee of the 11th Xinjiang Autonomous Regional People’s Congress. This Regulation is the second intangible cultural heritage protection statute adopted by Xinjiang since The Regulation on the Protection of the Intangible Cultural Heritages of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region was enacted in January 2008.
